Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University
Emilyn Ahmed is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and received her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She has worked with children, adolescents, and families in a school-based setting, where she provided culturally competent therapeutic interventions and skills to support her clients' growth and self-discovery.
Alongside her clinical experiences, she has worked with children and teens academically for approximately seven years, and this provides her with a unique perspective which informs her current work. Emilyn draws from various therapeutic orientations such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. She also incorporates mindfulness into her work and enjoys practicing it herself during her free time.
